Bosch Dishwasher in Israel: Which Series and Which Model to Choose
The short answer: for most families, a Bosch Serie 4 dishwasher, 60 cm (24 in) wide, with 13–14 place settings and 42–44 dB, is the balanced choice, and it costs about ₪2,250–4,500 (NIS) in Israel depending on the model and store. Serie 2 saves about ₪500–1,000 at the expense of noise, drying and energy rating. Serie 6 adds an A rating, 14 place settings and maximum quiet.
Bosch’s official importer in Israel is BSH Home Appliances (B.S.H.), which also imports Siemens. This guide is based on the importer’s site, product pages at Israeli stores and price ranges we saw in November 2026. We did not physically test the appliances, and we have no commercial relationship with Bosch.

- Serie 4
- ₪2,250–4,500

What to look at before buying
| What to check | What it is | Our recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Series | Bosch divides its dishwashers into series: Serie 2, Serie 4, Serie 6 and up. The higher the number, the more features. | Serie 4 is the balance point. Serie 2 suits a tight budget, Serie 6 an open kitchen where quiet matters. |
| Installation type by code | The first three letters of the code hint at the type: SMS freestanding 60 cm, SMI semi-integrated, SMV/SMD fully integrated, SPS/SPI/SPV for the 45 cm slim version. | Make sure the code you’re comparing across stores is exactly identical, including the suffix. |
| Energy rating | The importer’s site shows the new European A–G rating. | The SMS4ECI28E and SMD4EB805E are rated A; many Serie 2 models are rated C–E. The annual difference is tens of shekels. |
| Noise | Measured in decibels and listed on the importer’s site and in stores. | 42 dB on select Serie 4–6 models; 44 dB is still quiet; Serie 2 models are louder. |
| Home Connect | Bosch’s app for remote control, extra programs and notifications. | Especially useful on a fully integrated dishwasher, where you can’t see the panel. Some features require a SingleKey ID account. |
| Warranty | The importer’s warranty is provided by BSH according to the warranty certificate. | Buy from a store that lists the official importer, and consider the three-year extension for an extra ₪199 when offered. |
Why are Bosch dishwashers so common in Israel?
Bosch dishwashers are common in Israel mainly thanks to a large range of models, a long-established official importer and a nationwide service network, not because they suit everyone.
Bosch Israel’s site lists about 41 dishwasher models: freestanding 60 and 45 cm, semi-integrated, fully integrated and compact. On price comparison sites, most models on the first page of the dishwasher category are Bosch. That means it’s easy to find a model that fits your dimensions, and easy to compare prices between stores.
The official importer is BSH Home Appliances, which also imports Siemens and Constructa. On store product pages you’ll see the name B/S/H as the company issuing the warranty certificate. Most models are made in Germany, and some in Poland, for example the slim SPS4EMI11E per the store’s product page.
When isn’t Bosch necessarily the choice? When the budget is under ₪2,000. In that range there are Midea, Beko and Electrolux models with 13–14 place settings at a lower price. We compared them in our best dishwasher guide.
If you’re deciding between Bosch and Siemens, know that they’re the same group (BSH) and the same importer, with very similar technology. The differences are in design, program names and the specific pricing of each model. On price comparison sites we saw, for example, a full-size Siemens dishwasher (SN23EI03KE) at about ₪2,600–3,100, a similar range to Bosch’s Serie 2 and Serie 4 models. Compare spec to spec, not brand to brand.
What about reliability? We have no official fault data by brand, and we don’t invent any. What you can control is: buy from the official importer, install per the manufacturer’s instructions, set the water hardness and maintain the filter. Most faults users report on dishwashers, across all brands, relate to limescale, clogs and installation.
When not to buy Bosch? When your budget is up to ₪1,800 and you need 14 place settings. In that range, models like the Midea WQP14-W7633C or Electrolux ESA47200SX give full capacity for less, albeit with less quiet and fewer features. And when you need a countertop dishwasher, there’s more choice from other brands, like the Electrolux EFC3862MS. We cover all these options in our best dishwasher and small dishwasher guides, so you can compare before deciding on a brand.
Serie 2, Serie 4 or Serie 6: what’s the difference?
The difference between Bosch’s series is mainly in noise, drying, energy rating and convenience, not in the basic ability to clean.
Serie 2: the entry models. Full capacity (12–13 place settings on full-size, 10 on slim), basic programs, heat-exchanger drying. The rating usually ranges from C to E, and noise is higher. Examples on the importer’s site: SMS2HTI06E, SMS2HVI06E, SMI2HTS08E, SPS2HKI58E. Store prices: about ₪1,850–3,300.
Serie 4: the best-selling series. 13–14 place settings, 42–44 dB, Home Connect, half load, delay start up to 24 hours. Some models have automatic door opening for drying, a third cutlery drawer and an A rating. Examples: SMS4ECI28E, SMS4ECW28E (white), SMV4ECX26E, SMI4HAS07E, SPS4EMI11E. Prices: about ₪2,250–4,500.
Serie 6 and up: 14 place settings, 42 dB, A rating, more programs (such as a 40°C glass program), and on some models zeolite drying. Examples: SMV6ECX10E, SMS6ECC12E. Prices: about ₪3,100–5,700. Comparison sites also list Serie 8 models at higher prices.
How to choose? If the kitchen is closed and you run the dishwasher when no one is home, Serie 2 is enough. If the kitchen is open to the living room, Serie 4 is the minimum worth considering. If you’re paying for a built-in dishwasher that will stay in the kitchen for 10 years, the difference to Serie 6 is spread over many years.
Important: within the same series there are big differences between models. The SMS4ECI28E is rated A, while the SMI4HAS07E from the same series is rated C. Don’t rely on the series number alone; check the specs of the exact code on the importer’s site.
More features that distinguish the series:
- Third cutlery drawer (VarioDrawer): frees space in the lower basket for pots. Common from Serie 4 up, e.g. on the SMS4ECI28E.
- AquaStop: flood protection that shuts off the water if there’s a leak. Found on many models, including the Serie 2 SMI2HTS08E per the importer’s site.
- Automatic door opening: improves drying without raising electricity use.
- Silence on Demand: temporary noise reduction from the app, for example when someone’s on the phone.
- Remote Start: start it remotely from your phone, so you can run it when you’re not home.
How to read a Bosch model code
A Bosch model code tells you the installation type, width and series, so it’s worth decoding before comparing prices.
The common structure:
- S at the start: dishwasher.
- M or P as the second letter: M is full-size 60 cm, P is slim 45 cm.
- S, I, V or D as the third letter: S freestanding, I semi-integrated, V and D fully integrated.
- 2, 4, 6 or 8 the next digit: the series.
- The remaining letters and digits indicate generation, color and features. For example, an I in the color group usually marks a stainless finish and W white: the SMS4ECI28E and SMS4ECW28E are the same model in two finishes.
Why does it matter? Because stores list models with nearly identical codes. The SMS4ECI26E and SMS4ECI28E, for example, both appear on price comparison sites, and it’s worth checking each one’s specs on the importer’s site before deciding they’re the same appliance.
The simple tip: search for the full code on bosch-home.co.il. If it appears there, it’s a model the official importer sells. If it doesn’t, find out where it came from and who warrants it.
A word on colors and finishes: the same model sometimes comes in several finishes, such as anti-fingerprint stainless, white or black, and the price can vary between them. On Bosch Israel’s site, for example, the white SMS4ECW28E and the stainless SMS4ECI28E appear as two separate models. If the finish doesn’t matter to you, compare both; sometimes one is on sale.
How much does a Bosch dishwasher cost, and where do prices differ?
A Bosch dishwasher costs about ₪1,850–5,700 in Israel depending on series and type, and the gap between stores for the same model can exceed ₪2,000.
Price ranges we saw in stores and on price comparison sites in November 2026:
- SMS4ECI28E (freestanding, Serie 4): about ₪2,800–4,470.
- SMV4ECX26E (fully integrated, Serie 4): about ₪2,250–4,900.
- SMI4HAS07E (semi-integrated, Serie 4): about ₪3,130–4,490.
- SMV6ECX10E (fully integrated, Serie 6): about ₪3,100–5,700.
- SPS2HKI58E (slim, Serie 2): about ₪2,350–3,290.
- SPS4EMI11E (slim, Serie 4): about ₪3,100–3,300.
Why are the gaps so large? Some stores offer a low price without delivery to your floor or without installation, some include an extended warranty, and some sell previous-generation stock. Compare the final price: appliance, delivery, installation, removal of the old one and warranty.
Another tip: Bosch Israel’s site publishes promotions, such as a three-year warranty for an extra ₪199 on a range of products, and installation within 30 days. Promotion terms change, so check them on the day you buy.
When to buy? Appliance prices in Israel change with seasonal promotions and around holidays, and on price comparison sites you’ll see swings of hundreds of shekels for the same model. If you’re not in a hurry, track your chosen model for a few weeks. If the old dishwasher broke and the family is large, a good price today beats a small saving next month.
Bosch warranty and service in Israel
The warranty on a Bosch dishwasher from the official importer is provided by BSH Home Appliances, for one year as required by law, with a paid extension option.
According to Bosch Israel’s site:
- The first year is the statutory warranty, after which you can get two more years of limited warranty, per the promotion terms and the warranty certificate.
- The three-year extension is offered for an extra ₪199 on a range of Bosch products.
- Joining the customer club adds one more month of warranty.
- A technician visit is listed on the site as free within the terms.
Store product pages usually say: one-year warranty, subject to the B/S/H warranty certificate. Make sure that line appears. If it says the product isn’t from the official importer, or the warranty is from another company, it’s a parallel import (yevu makbil).
Parallel-import Bosch: some stores sell Bosch models imported separately. Sometimes the price is lower, but service comes from another company, and some models have different menus or programs. On a dishwasher, where a pump or board fault can cost hundreds of shekels, the price difference usually isn’t worth the risk.
Home Connect and remote service: on some models, per the importer’s site, the service team can access the appliance remotely with the customer’s permission to diagnose faults. This can save a technician visit.
Before calling a technician, try a few basic checks: make sure the water tap is open, clean the filter, check the drain hose isn’t kinked, and restart the appliance at the power. On models with Home Connect, the app sometimes explains the error code. If the fault persists, contact the importer’s service with the full model code, the serial number on the door edge and the invoice.
Limescale and hard water: correct settings on a Bosch dishwasher
On a Bosch dishwasher you set the water hardness on the control panel or in the app, and fill special salt so the water softener protects the dishes and the appliance from limescale.
The Siemens Israel site, from the BSH group, explains the process, which is identical on Bosch dishwashers: the first time, fill the salt compartment with water, add salt until it overflows, close the lid and run a program to rinse away residue. Never put detergent in the salt compartment. The dishwasher alerts you when salt or rinse aid is low.
Check the hardness level with your local water utility. In Israel the water is hard in most areas, and the factory setting doesn’t always fit. If after a few weeks you see a white film on glasses, raise the level.
Routine maintenance on a Bosch dishwasher:
- Clean the filter at the bottom every few weeks.
- Run the MachineCare program, available on some models, every month or two.
- Check the spray arms and clean any clogged holes.
- Top up rinse aid, which improves drying and prevents spots.
On models with Home Connect, you can get maintenance reminders in the app. The same principles of limescale and water softening apply to washing machines, and we cover them in our best washing machine guide.
If you live in an area with very hard water and see limescale even after setting the highest level, you can add tablets with a softener, but not instead of salt. Also make sure the salt you buy is coarse-grain dishwasher salt, not table salt, which can clog the softener.
Which Bosch dishwasher to choose for your kitchen?
Choose the installation type by your kitchen and the series by how much noise you’ll tolerate: freestanding or built-in, full-size or slim, then Serie 2, 4 or 6.
- Existing kitchen with a 60 cm space and no panel: a freestanding SMS. The general recommendation: SMS4ECI28E.
- New kitchen with uniform fronts: fully integrated SMV or SMD. On a mid budget the SMV4ECX26E, and at the premium level the SMV6ECX10E. We cover niche dimensions and installation in our integrated dishwasher guide.
- New kitchen, and you want to see the panel: semi-integrated SMI, for example the SMI4HAS07E.
- No 60 cm space: a slim SPS or built-in SPI/SPV. The SPS2HKI58E on a lower budget, the SPS4EMI11E when you want quiet and a B rating. Comparison with other brands in our small dishwasher guide.
- No space under the counter at all: Bosch’s importer site also has a compact dishwasher category, but store sites offer more countertop models from other brands.
Shabbat mode: on the product pages of the Bosch models we checked, Shabbat mode doesn’t appear in the specs. If it matters to you, ask the seller or importer for written halachic certification for the model. On Bosch ovens the topic is more relevant, and we cover it in our built-in oven guide.
If you’re equipping a whole kitchen from the same importer, ask about bundle deals: BSH also sells Bosch ovens, induction cooktops and built-in microwaves, and sometimes there’s a discount on several appliances together.
Quick checklist before ordering a Bosch dishwasher:
- Measure width, height and depth, and decide whether you need SMS, SMI, SMV or SPS.
- Look up the full code on the importer’s site and check noise, energy rating and place settings.
- Compare the final price at several stores, including delivery to your floor, installation and removal of the old dishwasher.
- Make sure the product page says official importer and B/S/H warranty.
- Check whether there’s an extended-warranty promotion and what its terms are.
- After installation, set the water hardness, fill salt and rinse aid, and join the customer club.
What about Siemens? If you find a Siemens model with similar specs at a lower price, there’s no technical reason to rule it out: same importer, same service, and a similar family of technologies. The main difference is the panel design and program names. The decision should be based on noise, rating, capacity and final price, not the brand name on the door.
Bottom line: a Bosch Serie 4 dishwasher is a good starting point for most kitchens, but the exact code, noise and final price are what count, not the logo.
The bottom line
Official importer: BSH Home Appliances. Recommended series: Serie 4.

FAQ: Bosch dishwasher Israel
Which Bosch dishwasher is best?
For most families, the Bosch SMS4ECI28E is a balanced choice per its specs: 14 place settings, 42 dB, an A rating and Home Connect, at about ₪2,800–4,470. For a built-in kitchen, the SMV4ECX26E or SMV6ECX10E.
What’s the difference between Bosch Serie 2 and Serie 4?
Serie 4 is quieter (42–44 dB), usually includes Home Connect, half load and 24-hour delay start, and on some models an A rating and automatic door opening. Serie 2 costs about ₪500–1,000 less, with a C–E rating and fewer features.
Who is Bosch’s importer in Israel?
BSH Home Appliances Ltd. (B.S.H.), which also imports Siemens. On store product pages it appears as B/S/H, the company issuing the warranty certificate.
How long is the warranty on a Bosch dishwasher in Israel?
One year from the official importer, as required by law. Bosch Israel’s site offers an extension to three years for an extra ₪199 on a range of products, where the two extra years are a limited warranty, and joining the club adds a month.
Bosch or Siemens, which is better?
Both brands belong to the same group and are imported by the same importer, with similar technology. Compare the specs and price of the specific model, such as noise, energy rating and capacity, rather than the brand.
Why does the same Bosch dishwasher cost ₪2,800 at one store and ₪4,400 at another?
The difference comes from delivery, installation, extended warranty, promotions and stock. Check the final price including all services, and make sure the code is exactly identical and it’s from the official importer.
How do I set the water hardness on a Bosch dishwasher?
Via the control panel or the Home Connect app, following the model’s instructions. Check the water hardness with your local water utility and fill the salt compartment before first use.
Does a Bosch dishwasher have Shabbat mode?
On the product pages of the models we checked, Shabbat mode doesn’t appear in the specs. If it matters to you, ask the seller or importer for written halachic certification for the specific model.
What should I do when a Bosch dishwasher shows an error code?
Check the model’s manual: some codes refer to a closed tap, a clogged filter or drainage. If the fault persists, contact the importer’s service, not an outside technician, while the appliance is under warranty.
Where are Bosch dishwashers sold in Israel made?
According to store product pages, many models are made in Germany, and some in Poland, for example the SPS4EMI11E. The country of manufacture usually appears in the product name in the store.
