Bosch Clothes Dryer in Israel: Which Model to Choose in 2026
For most homes, the right Bosch dryer is a 9 kg heat pump dryer from Series 6, such as the WQG2328IL, at about ₪2,550–4,490 (NIS) based on store prices in November 2026. For a couple or small family, the 8 kg Series 4 WTH85225 is enough, from about ₪2,190. Series 8 (WQB245B0IL) adds a self-cleaning condenser and app connectivity, at about ₪5,200–6,400.
We did not physically test the dryers. This guide is based on specs published by Bosch and stores, on price ranges we saw on Israeli price comparison pages (about 250 Bosch dryers appear there, most of them versions for other markets), and on the terms of the official importer BSH listed by sellers. Below: the series, heat pump vs condenser, 8 vs 9 kg (17.6 vs 19.8 lb of dry laundry), consumption, stacking on a washing machine and maintenance.
The short answer
Clothes dryers, November 2026- 9 kg heat pump, Series 6
- ₪2,550–4,950 (Series 6)
- WTH85225, 8 kg, from about ₪2,190
- About 600 W for a heat pump per the specs
- BSH; prefer the IL suffix
- Lint filter after every load
Models worth checking
Picked on specs, Israeli importer warranty and shop prices in Israel in November 2026. We did not test them at home. Prices change, check before you buy.
WTH85225
Series 4, 8 kg, heat pump, about 2.24 kWh after a 1,000 RPM spin, 600 W, 63 dB, AutoDry, Reload
Why: Based on store prices, this is Bosch’s cheapest heat pump dryer, with AutoDry, SuperQuick 40 and an EasyClean filter, sold at about 24 stores. Several sellers list BSH as the official importer.
Watch out: The code appears with and without the IL suffix at different sellers, and the country of manufacture is contradictory (Turkey or Poland); make sure of a BSH warranty.
WTH9284IL
8 kg, heat pump, about 1.63 kWh after a 1,400 RPM spin, 600 W, 65 dB, drum light, made in Poland per sellers
Why: Per the specs sellers publish, about 1.63 kWh per full load, the lowest of the models we checked, with AutoDry and a child lock.
Watch out: 65 dB, the loudest of the models here; and a D rating on the page vs A++ at one seller. Compare kWh.
WQG2328IL
9 kg, heat pump, about 1.88 kWh after 1,400 RPM, 600 W, 62 dB, drain kit, R290 refrigerant, 84.2×59.8×61.3 cm
Why: Per the specs it’s a relatively quiet 9 kg dryer, with a drain kit, half-load drying and SuperQuick 40, and several sellers list BSH as the official importer.
Watch out: About 64.8 cm deep with the door; no self-cleaning condenser, so clean the filters regularly.
WQG2429IL
Series 6, 9 kg, heat pump, about 2.01 kWh after 1,400 RPM, 64 dB, Reload, LED drum light, R290
Why: Per sellers it has Reload, a drum light, AutoDry, half-load drying, and on some offers a wool basket and drain kit. Most sellers list BSH.
Watch out: About ₪1,100 more than the WQG2328IL, and the ratings on the page contradict each other (B, A++, D); if you don’t need Reload and the light, the WQG2328IL is enough.
WQB245B0IL
Series 8, 9 kg, heat pump, C (new label per one seller), about 1.90 kWh, 61 dB, self-cleaning condenser, Home Connect
Why: Per the specs it has a self-cleaning condenser, app connectivity, SmartDry that coordinates with the washing machine, and it’s the quietest of the models here.
Watch out: About ₪2,600 more than Series 6; door depth differs between sellers (61.3 or 65.1 cm), so measure.
WPG2411IL
8 kg, condenser, rating B, AutoDry, HalfLoad, AntiVibration, drain kit, made in Turkey per one seller
Why: Per the specs it has AutoDry, half-load drying, anti-vibration side panels and a drain kit, but it’s sold at only about 4 stores.
Watch out: More expensive than the WTH85225 heat pump and uses more electricity; in most cases a heat pump is better.
Prices in Israel: Clothes dryers
8 kg heat pump (WTH85225, WTH9284IL): AutoDry and SuperQuick 40, giving up 9 kg and a self-cleaning condenser.
9 kg heat pump (WQG2328IL, WQG2429IL): drain kit, Reload and drum light on some models; the right choice for most families.
9 kg with a self-cleaning condenser, Home Connect and SmartDry (WQB245B0IL): for anyone who dries almost every day and doesn’t want to clean a condenser.
Price ranges seen in Israeli shops and price-comparison sites in November 2026, VAT included, usually without installation.
What to look at before buying
| What to check | What it is | Our recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Dryer type | A heat pump recycles heat and draws about 600 W per the specs; a condenser heats with an element and draws more. | Heat pump almost always. A Bosch condenser (like the WPG2411IL) only if the price is significantly lower and you dry little. |
| Capacity | The drying capacity should match the washing machine’s capacity. | For an 8 kg washer, an 8 kg dryer. For a 9–10 kg washer, a 9 kg dryer (WQG2328IL and up). |
| Series | At Bosch, Series 4 is the base, 6 adds 9 kg and a drain kit, 8 adds a self-cleaning condenser and an app. | Series 6 gives most of the benefit. Series 8 only if cleaning the condenser bothers you or you want SmartDry. |
| Electricity use | Product pages list consumption in kWh per full load, according to the laundry’s spin speed. | WTH9284IL about 1.63 kWh, WQG2328IL about 1.88 and WQB245B0IL about 1.90 after a 1,400 RPM spin, per sellers. Compare kWh, not the letter. |
| Noise | A heat pump dryer runs for hours; noise in decibels matters if it’s near bedrooms. | Per the specs, WQB245B0IL about 61 dB, WQG2328IL about 62, WTH85225 about 63, WQG2429IL about 64 and WTH9284IL about 65. |
| Importer and suffix | Models from the official importer BSH are usually marked with the IL suffix; suffixes like GB, PL, NL and II appear on versions for other markets. | Prefer IL and ask for a BSH warranty in writing. On the WTH85225 the code appears with and without IL at different sellers, so check. |
| Dimensions and door | Bosch dryers are about 59.8 cm wide, about 84.2 cm high and about 61.3 cm deep, and about 64.8 cm with the door per sellers. | Measure the niche including the door, and check the door opening direction against the location. |
Which Bosch dryer is recommended?
For most families, the recommended Bosch dryer is a 9 kg Series 6 heat pump, such as the WQG2328IL, at about ₪2,550–4,490; for a couple, the 8 kg Series 4 WTH85225 is enough.
Price comparison pages list about 250 Bosch dryers, but most are versions for other markets or models sold at one or two stores. The models sold at many stores, based on store prices in November 2026:
- WTH85225, Series 4, 8 kg: about ₪2,190–4,490, at about 24 stores.
- WTH9284IL, 8 kg: about ₪2,750–4,590, at about 16 stores.
- WQG2328IL, 9 kg: about ₪2,550–4,490, at about 18 stores.
- WQG2429IL, Series 6, 9 kg: about ₪3,640–4,950, at about 22 stores.
- WQB245B0IL, Series 8, 9 kg: about ₪5,200–6,390, at about 19 stores.
All are heat pump dryers. Bosch also sells condenser dryers (for example the 8 kg WPG2411IL), but in Israel they’re sold at only a few stores, and at a price no lower than a basic heat pump.
What’s the difference between ₪2,200 and ₪4,500? Mainly capacity (8 vs 9 kg), extras like Reload and a drum light, and in Series 8 a self-cleaning condenser and app connectivity. In the drying itself, all the models use AutoDry, moisture sensors that stop drying when the laundry is dry, and a 40-minute SuperQuick program.
Note that the ranges are very wide: for the same model we saw gaps of up to ₪2,300 between stores. The difference usually comes from the seller, delivery terms and warranty. Compare the cheapest offers, and choose the one that states a BSH warranty in writing.
The comparison across all brands, including LG, Samsung and Electrolux, is in our best clothes dryer guide. If you’re buying a Bosch washer and dryer together, see also our Bosch washing machine guide.
Series 4, 6 and 8: what’s the difference, and what the code means
At Bosch, Series 4 is the basic 8 kg dryer, Series 6 adds 9 kg and convenience extras, and Series 8 adds a self-cleaning condenser and Home Connect.
Per the specs sellers publish:
- Series 4 (WTH): 8 kg, heat pump, AutoDry, SuperQuick 40, EasyClean filter. The WTH85225 also includes Reload per sellers.
- Series 6 (WQG): 9 kg, half-load drying, a drain kit on some models, and on models like the WQG2429IL also Reload and an LED drum light.
- Series 8 (WQB): 9 kg, self-cleaning condenser, Home Connect, SmartDry that coordinates the drying program with the washing machine, and low noise of about 61 dB.
- WPG and WTN: condenser dryers, mainly in versions for other markets.
What do the suffixes mean? On the Bosch dryer comparison page, alongside IL models there are also models with GB, PL, NL and II, for example WTH85223GB, WQG24509GB, WTH8627GPL, WQG245D9NL and WTH85208II. As with Bosch washing machines, the rule we saw is that the IL suffix marks the official importer BSH’s model, and other suffixes are usually versions for other markets sold as parallel imports (yevu makbil). With parallel import, the warranty is the seller’s.
A special case is the WTH85225: on the comparison page the code appears without a suffix, and many sellers write WTH85225IL. Several sellers list BSH as the official importer. When you buy, make sure the invoice shows the code with IL or states a BSH warranty.
Which series to choose? If you dry 2–3 times a week, Series 6 gives most of the benefit. If you dry every day, Series 8’s self-cleaning condenser saves work, but costs about ₪2,600 more. Series 4 suits a couple or anyone who dries mainly in winter.
A common question is whether drying quality differs between the series. Per the specs, all the models use the same heat pump technology and the same AutoDry. The difference is in convenience, capacity and maintenance, not in the dry laundry that comes out.
Heat pump or condenser at Bosch
With Bosch it’s almost always worth choosing a heat pump: per the specs it draws about 600 W, uses about 1.6–2.2 kWh per full load, and its price isn’t higher than Bosch’s condenser dryer.
The difference in brief:
- Heat pump: a closed system that recycles heat, like a small AC. Slower, but much more efficient and heats the room less. All the Bosch models sold in Israel are this type.
- Condenser: heats the air with an element and condenses the moisture into a tank. Faster, but draws more electricity. Per our condenser dryer guide, common models draw about 2,700–2,800 W and use about 4.8 kWh per full load.
At Bosch, the 8 kg WPG2411IL condenser dryer costs about ₪2,880–3,090 per store prices and is sold at only about 4 stores. The 8 kg WTH85225 heat pump starts at about ₪2,190. In other words, at Bosch the heat pump is both cheaper and more efficient.
On the electricity bill, using the figures sellers publish and an estimated rate of about 60–70 agorot per kWh, a full load in a Bosch heat pump dryer costs about ₪1–1.5. A family drying 3 times a week all year will pay about ₪150–230 a year. Check the rate on your own bill. The full calculation, including a comparison with a condenser, is in our best clothes dryer guide.
Another heat pump advantage in Israel: it doesn’t overload the electrics. A washing machine heating water draws about 2,000–2,300 W; together with a 600 W dryer they’re still below the about 3,680 W of a 16-amp circuit (Israel runs on 230V). With a condenser, running both together may trip the breaker.
The heat pump’s drawback: a full 9 kg load can take almost 4 hours (per one seller, about 3:46 hours on the WQG2429IL). If you need something dry fast, there’s SuperQuick 40 for a small load.
8 or 9 kg: matching your washing machine
The dryer’s capacity should match the washing machine’s: for an 8 kg washer an 8 kg dryer, and for a 9–10 kg washer a 9 kg dryer.
Why? Wet laundry takes up more volume, and the dryer needs room for clothes to tumble in warm air. A dryer smaller than the washer means splitting a full load into two cycles, which doubles the time. A 9 kg dryer with an 8 kg load dries faster and with fewer wrinkles.
Common pairings with Bosch washers, based on the models in our guides:
- Bosch WAN28278IL (8 kg): WTH85225 or WTH9284IL.
- Bosch WAN28289IL or WGG244Z9IL (9 kg): WQG2328IL or WQG2429IL.
- Bosch WGG256Z9IL (10 kg, up to 1,600 RPM): a 9 kg dryer; the strong spin shortens drying.
And on spin: the consumption sellers publish is calculated by spin speed. The WTH85225 appears with about 2.24 kWh after a 1,000 RPM spin, and the other models with 1.6–2.0 kWh after 1,400 RPM. In other words, a washing machine with 1,400 RPM or more shortens drying and saves electricity every cycle. The Standards Institution of Israel notes that a fast spin before the dryer saves electricity.
If you have a 10 kg or larger washer, see also our 10 kg washing machine guide. And if you don’t have room for two appliances, the alternative is a washer-dryer combo, which usually dries only 6–7 kg at a time.
And if your washer is another brand, no problem combining them: a Bosch dryer works with any washing machine. What you need to check is the stacking kit, which sometimes only fits certain width and depth combinations. With a slim washer, the dryer will stick out in front by a few centimeters.
Electricity use, noise and energy rating
On Bosch dryers, compare kWh per load and decibels, not the letter: product pages show completely different ratings for the same model, from A++ to D.
The figures, per the specs sellers publish:
- WTH9284IL: about 1.63 kWh after a 1,400 RPM spin, 600 W, 65 dB.
- WQG2328IL: about 1.88 kWh after 1,400 RPM, 600 W, 62 dB.
- WQB245B0IL: about 1.90 kWh after 1,400 RPM, 600 W, 61 dB.
- WQG2429IL: about 2.01 kWh after 1,400 RPM, about 625 W per one seller, 64 dB.
- WTH85225: about 2.24 kWh after 1,000 RPM, 600 W, 63 dB. Condensation efficiency C (83%) per one seller.
As for the letters: the WQG2328IL and WTH9284IL appear on the comparison page with a D rating, the WTH85225 with E, the WQG2429IL with B, and the WQB245B0IL with C (new label per one seller). Other sellers show A++ and D for the same models. The reason: since September 1, 2022, Israel has been moving to the European label in a transition period during which two systems apply in parallel, and in Europe too the dryer label is changing. The full explanation is in our best clothes dryer guide.
Bottom line: all Bosch heat pump dryers use about 1.6–2.2 kWh per full load, about half of a condenser dryer. The differences between them are tens of shekels a year. The noise difference, 61 vs 65 dB, is more noticeable if the dryer is near a bedroom or in an open kitchen.
Refrigerant: per sellers, the WQG2328IL and WQG2429IL use R290, a natural refrigerant considered environmentally friendly. It doesn’t change how you use it, but it explains why repairing the refrigeration system needs a certified technician.
Installation: on top of the washer, drainage and dimensions
A Bosch dryer is usually installed on top of the washing machine with a stacking kit, or next to it; it needs a regular outlet, and preferably a drain connection so you don’t have to empty a water tank.
Dimensions: per sellers, Bosch dryers are about 59.8 cm wide, 84.2 cm high and 61.3 cm deep, and about 64.8 cm with the door. For the WQB245B0IL, one seller lists a depth of 65.1 cm. Measure the niche including the door, and add clearance at the back for the cable and drain hose.
Stacking on a washing machine:
- You need a stacking kit approved for both models. Check with BSH or the seller.
- Two appliances of about 85 cm reach a combined height of about 1.75 m (5 ft 9 in).
- Washer at the bottom, dryer on top, not the other way round: the washer is heavier and vibrates more when spinning.
Drainage: in a heat pump dryer, water collects in a tank that must be emptied after every load or two. Per sellers, the WQG2328IL, WPG2411IL and some offers for the WQG2429IL include a drain kit. Connecting to the drain saves emptying, and it’s worth planning in advance.
Electricity: 600 W per the specs, a regular outlet. Don’t use an extension cord or power strip.
Ventilation and location: a heat pump heats the room less than a condenser, but still releases heat. In a small, enclosed laundry porch (mirpeset sherut), open a window while drying. Check the manual for the ambient temperature range in which the dryer works properly, and the door opening direction against the location.
After installation, run a short drying cycle and check that the dryer is stable, there’s no vibration and the water reaches the drain or tank as it should.
What to check in the store before buying a Bosch dryer
Before ordering a Bosch dryer, check seven points; most concern the warranty and installation, not the specs.
- The full code on the invoice: with the IL suffix, or at least an explicit BSH warranty. With the WTH85225 this is especially important, since the code appears with and without the suffix.
- What the warranty covers: the compressor and refrigeration system, or only electrical parts and the motor. On a heat pump dryer, the compressor is the expensive part.
- Drain kit: whether it’s included, and if not, what it costs.
- Stacking kit: whether there’s an approved kit that fits your washer model, and what it costs.
- Door direction: whether the door opens in a direction that suits the location, and whether it can be reversed.
- Delivery: whether it includes bringing it in, mounting it on the washer and removing an old dryer.
- Condition: new in the box, or a display model refurbished. On the Bosch dryer comparison pages we saw refurbished offers at prices a few hundred shekels lower.
Another tip: if you’re buying a Bosch washer and dryer together, ask about a bundle discount. Many stores are willing to lower the price when you buy two appliances, and sometimes add the stacking kit too. Check that the washer also has the IL suffix and a BSH warranty.
And for anyone unsure whether a dryer is worth it at all: a family drying 3 times a week in a Bosch heat pump dryer pays, by the calculation above, about ₪150–230 a year in electricity. In the Israeli winter, with little sun and in apartments without an open laundry porch, that’s usually the difference between laundry that’s dry by evening and laundry that dries in two days, without humidity and mold in the home. If you dry only a few times in winter, a basic Bosch Series 4 dryer is entirely enough.
BSH warranty and maintenance of a Bosch dryer
Buy a Bosch dryer with a written BSH warranty, and clean the lint filter after every load; on a heat pump dryer, a fault in the refrigeration system needs a certified technician, so service is especially important.
What we saw on the product pages:
- WQG2328IL, WQG2429IL, WQB245B0IL and WTH85225: several sellers list BSH as the official importer, and some offer the store’s extended VIP warranty.
- WQB245B0IL: one seller states the warranty is provided by BSH.
- WPG2411IL: no importer is mentioned on the page, and there’s also an offer for a refurbished or display unit.
Ask before buying: how long the warranty is, whether it covers the compressor and refrigeration system, and whether installation or registration is required for an extended warranty to apply.
Maintenance, per the specs and general instructions:
- The lint filter in the door: after every load. A clogged filter lengthens drying and raises consumption.
- The EasyClean filter and condenser filter: per the manufacturer’s instructions, usually every few weeks. On Series 8 (WQB245B0IL) the condenser cleans itself per the specs.
- The water tank: empty it if the dryer isn’t connected to a drain.
- The moisture sensors in the drum: wipe them occasionally, because a fabric-softener film on them can disrupt AutoDry.
If the dryer is drying slowly, the usual cause is a clogged filter or condenser. Clean first, and only then contact service. Cleaning the washing machine next to it is covered in our washing machine cleaning guide.
The bottom line
Recommended for most homes: 9 kg heat pump, Series 6. Reasonable budget: ₪2,550–4,950 (Series 6).
